Dehumidification

A dehumidifier removes the excess moisture created on a daily basis through activities such as running baths, drying laundry and using washing machines, all of which can lead to problems with condensation, damp and mould.

With the help of a dehumidifier, you can maintain a more constant level of humidity and alleviate these conditions; the higher the extraction rate, the more condensation you can control. Dehumidifiers can also be used for drying laundry - and are often cheaper to operate than tumble dryers.

All the portable air conditioners we sell here on Air Con Hut have a dehumidifying effect while they work. However, if you are concerned about damp, then look for a model that can be run in dehumidifier-only mode. All De’Longhi Pinguinos can be operated as standalone dehumidifiers - helping them to keep all year round.

The PAC AN112 has a particularly powerful dehumidifying function and so, should definitely be considered if you have significant problems associated with damp, such as mould and mildew, or if you wish to regularly dry clothing indoors.

 Filters

Using an air conditioner will also help you improve your air quality. All contain a filter (often bio-silver) that can be removed and washed. The filter will remove dust and heavy pollutants from your environment and help reduce allergens and problems such as asthma and dermatitis.

The dehumidification process also contributed to an improvement in air quality because the spores and moulds that aggravate chest conditions thrive in damp environments.

Our range of high-end portable air conditioners from renowned brands, offer value for money, reliability and a great all year round solution.

Environment friendly - Evaporative cooling systems

What is evaporative air cooling? Evaporative air cooling is the most efficent and environment-friendly cooling technology which works on the principle of heat absorption by water evaporation.
